Devonport Regatta – 4th March – Celebrating 60 years – fun filled, adrenaline pumping activities from 9am – 4.30pm

International Women’s Day Cocktail Event – 8th March  To celebrate International Women’s Day, Devonport City Council is pleased to recognise the contributions and achievements of local women through its ‘Diamonds of Devonport’ program.  Since its inception in 2012, The Diamonds of Devonport awards have recognised the efforts of over 130 women who live or work within Devonport.

Cruise Ship – Pacific Eden – arrives in Burnie – Friday 16th March – 31st cruise ship of the 2017/18 season

Paper on Silk Competition  The Burnie Arts & Function Centre are announcing ‘Call for Entries’ for the 2018 ‘Paper on Skin’ competition. Entries close 5th March 2018. Save the date for the Gala Parade and Award Evening on the 15th June. Entry forms can be downloaded via the ‘paper on skin’ tab at www.burnieartscouncil.com

2018 BUPA KidFit Series Saturday 17th March Looking for a family day out where everyone can have fun and get active? The Bupa KidFit Triathlon and Family Fun Run events being held in Ulverstone are a great way to have fun and get active together. The KidFit Triathlon is an untimed swim, ride and run event for children between the ages of 7 to 15 years and all fitness levels. The all ages Family Fun Run (choose from 1 or 2 km) is held on the same day as the triathlon for the whole family to enjoy.

SteamFest brings history to life over three days  10th – 12th March 2018, with one of the largest collections of working steam machinery in Australia including Krauss steam train rides every half hour. Enjoy historic machinery such as steam rollers, steam powered threshers and rock crushers showing how things were done in yesteryear and the exhibitions of pioneering skills including blacksmithing.

2018 Jewellery, Gem and Mineral Fair – Saturday 24th March Trade Tables and Gem and Mineral Displays along with Working Demonstrations. Kids will enjoy the children’s activities and there will be food and drink to purchase.

Circular Head Relay for Life – Saturday 17th March Cancer Council Tasmania’s major fundraising event on Far NW Coast – a fun and moving, overnight experience that raises vital funds for Cancer Council Tasmania’s research, prevention, information and support services.
